The Magna Carta, The 95 Theses, Shakespeare’s Sonnets, the first Rock N Roll song, a line scribbled on a cocktail napkin. The written word has sparked revolution and inspired the hearts of men. In today’s complacent, consumer driven society, is it still possible for words to make a difference? To inspire? To light an inferno of passion? Is true love dead?
I am a disillusioned college graduate and unmotivated wanna-be writer. I am a fraud, a hack. I am hoping this journal will be the kick I need to
get me out of my rut. Maybe someone will actually read this. Maybe someone will fall in
love with this. Maybe I will care. Some of this is real, some is fiction. But really, who can tell the difference these days?
